Jason Sutherland

Jason joined the firm in 2026, and helps his clients navigate practical legal problems with efficient and cost-effective solutions. He is committed to providing personal, practical, and client-focused representation, ensuring clients understand the legal issues affecting their businesses, families, and organizations.

Jason’s practice focuses on general corporate and business transactions, including employment law, labor negotiations and union matters, as well as business formation, governance and restructuring. He has assisted clients with a range of legal matters including contract disputes, intellectual property issues and regulatory compliance. Jason also works with families on estate and retirement planning, probate management and trust administration. Additionally, Jason works with non-profit institutions on their legal needs.

A native of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Jason is a graduate of Michigan Technological University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences with a concentration in Secondary Education. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Outside of work, Jason enjoys golfing, lifting weights, and many other outdoor activities.
