LCOJ Supports Local Earth Week Events

April 20,2009

As part of the firm's green initiative, Liebmann, Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry, S.C. co-sponsored the events scheduled during the week surrounding Earth Day, April 22nd.  Earth School Day was the project of Attorney Jodi Arndt, the firm's "greenest" attorney.

Earth School Day was designed to bring environmental awareness to the community's youngest citizens.  The Greater Green Bay Earth Week Coalition reached out to all the elementary schools in the immediate Green Bay area and offered to have a volunteer come into the classroom and read Dr. Seuss' classic environmental tale The Lorax.  An overwhelming response had volunteers visiting more than fifty kindergarten through third grade classrooms on April 20th and 21st.

In addition to the individual classroom readings, Jodi Arndt read The Lorax at a full-school assembly at Susie C. Altmayer Elementary in De Pere, on April 21st.

The Greater Green Bay Earth Week Coalition's goal is to increase public awareness about conservation issues and sustainability efforts in the Green Bay area by creating a week of diversified events surrounding Earth Day that appeal to different ages, abilities, and interests in order to engage the whole community.  Jodi is an active member of the organization.
