Frederick L. Schmidt earned a degree in accounting from St. Norbert College, De Pere, Wisconsin, before entering Marquette University Law School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he was awarded a J.D. degree in 1979.

A native of Mukwonago, Wisconsin, Mr. Schmidt moved to Green Bay to join the Liebmann, Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry, S.C. law firm in 1979.

Mr. Schmidt advises clients on a wide range of corporate matters, including business formation and development, mergers and acquisitions, real estate and business succession. Mr. Schmidt has a strong area of concentration in estate planning, advising clients on matters from premarital agreements, trusts and estates, to charitable gift planning. He is listed as a Wisconsin Super Lawyer which consists of the top five percent of attorneys in the State of Wisconsin, in all specialties.

Mr. Schmidt is actively involved with community boards in leadership positions. He is past-President of the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, Lakeland Chapter of the American Red Cross, and the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra. He currently serves on the boards of Weidner Center Presents, The Bellin Foundation, Notre Dame de la Baie Foundation, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Norbert College.

Professionally, Mr. Schmidt is a past-President of the Brown County Bar Association. He has served on the Wisconsin Bar Corporate and Business Law Committee and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Business Law Section. He is frequently invited to lecture at statewide legal seminars on estate planning and corporate law topics.
