David H. Weber is a shareholder in the firm's litigation department. He concentrates his practice in complex litigation including commercial, intellectual property, shareholder dispute, dealership, insurance, product, and personal injury matters. He also handles fraud and white collar criminal matters.
In the course of his career, David has been lead counsel in over 50 jury trials. Recent representative client experiences include:
- A March 3, 2011 jury verdict against a title insurance company for bad faith handling of a title claim, awarding $1 million in punitive damages, plus compensatory damages
- A September 23, 2010 jury verdict in favor of his dealer client in a Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law case, awarding $1,231,988.00, plus actual reasonable attorneys fees and expenses incurred;
- A defense judgment dismissing intellectual property right and breach of contract claims against his client that involved an eight-figure settlement demand prior to that. David won summary judgment resulting in the case being tossed out of federal court before trial, and the matter finally resolved on appeal in the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals with David's client paying nothing to the plaintiff for any settlement.
Prior to joining Liebmann, Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry, S.C., David was an Assistant District Attorney in Milwaukee for several years, and clerked for the Honorable Gregory A. Peterson of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals for one year.
