Colleen M. Kelly
Colleen M. Kelly practices in the areas of banking and financial matters, including commercial finance, creditors' rights in bankruptcy and related litigation. She also practices in the area of business law and has assisted both corporate and lender clients on matters ranging from contract negotiation to mergers and acquisitions. Colleen's commercial finance experience includes representation of lenders and borrowers in transactions involving asset-based and real estate financing, refinancing of distressed debt, debtor in possession financing, as well as loan servicers in connection with obligations under participation and co-lending arrangements. In addition, Colleen counsels lender clients in the context of commercial loan workouts by drafting loan documents and commencing actions to enforce clients' rights and remedies in various state and bankruptcy courts, including the seeking of prejudgment attachment, injunctions, foreclosures, replevins, receiverships, stay relief and confirmation of Creditors Plans of Reorganization in bankruptcy. Prior to joining Liebmann, Conway, Olejniczak & Jerry S.C., Colleen served as the law clerk to the Honorable Susan V. Kelley of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin. While attending law school, Colleen interned for the Honorable Rudolph T. Randa, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and for the Honorable Bill Schuette of the Michigan Court of Appeals. Additionally, she was a summer law clerk to the eight judges of the Brown County Circuit Court in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
