April Rockstead Barker

April Rockstead Barker practices in the firm's litigation department. Her practice emphasizes commercial and insurance litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts. April began her career with Jenner & Block in Chicago before returning to Wisconsin.  Since graduating from law school, she has also worked for Legal Services of Northeastern Wisconsin, (now merged with Legal Action of Wisconsin) where she represented indigent clients in civil and administrative matters. April has also written numerous articles that
appeared in the Wisconsin Law Journal.

Outside of the office, April frequently volunteers for companion animal rescue groups. She serves as a rescue transporter for dogs and cats throughout the Midwest.
